note.md
A desktop Markdown reader and editor with linked notes, separate annotation files, local vaults and configurable agent integrations.
What can you do with it?
Read and edit Markdown, keep comments beside source documents, and share a file-based vault with search and automation tools.
What should you know before using it?
The inspected v6.1016.2 release supplies macOS and Linux beta artifacts. Windows source-build support is documented, but no Windows installer was verified in the inspected release inventory. Linux ARM desktop acceptance and some native plugins remain incomplete. Agent features need separately configured providers or local models; their costs are separate. No runtime or document round-trip testing was performed.

The application README explicitly attributes development and maintenance to AI coding, with human review and smoke testing. This applies to note.md application development, not authorship of every dependency or user document.
Runtime: Tauri/Rust desktop binary with an operating-system WebView UI. macOS 13+ has separate Apple Silicon/Intel DMGs; Linux beta targets Debian 12/Omarchy. Source builds require Rust, pnpm and the sibling moraya-core checkout.
License note: The application repository is Apache-2.0; dependency and plugin terms remain separate. Upstream license ↗
