EffectCraft
An alpha Rust motion-graphics and compositing app that combines layers, keyframes and effects, with native project files and documented Lottie/media export.
What can you do with it?
Inspect layer-based animation and compositing, including command-driven property changes, rendering and reusable project structures.
What should you know before using it?
Alpha. It cannot open After Effects .aep/.aepx projects or run its plug-ins; rendering equivalence has not been measured against After Effects. macOS is the most-tested platform. Upstream Windows ARM64 checks install the package and run the CLI but do not open the GUI. Optional tracking/masking models require separate downloads. No interaction or render/export test was performed here.
What is verified here?
Creator: ArtCraft team and contributors; creator announcement by u/ai_art_is_art
Author-reported LLM assistance; human direction and separately authored components remain.
Runtime: Inspected source commit and v0.10.0 release separately. Release assets include native Windows MSI/portable packages, a universal macOS DMG, Linux packages and a self-hosted WebAssembly archive. Windows x64 MSI and macOS DMG returned HTTP 200 to HEAD requests; files were not downloaded or executed. Reviewed application build guidance requires Rust 1.95+. No hosted interactive web demo was established.
