Tic Tac Toe — Imperium Edition

A Roman-themed browser tic-tac-toe artifact from OpenAI’s generated examples, with local two-player and computer-opponent modes.

ShowcaseWeb

What can you do with it?

Examine generated game-state handling, a computer opponent and responsive board UI.

What should you know before using it?

The computer opponent uses game logic including minimax, not an LLM service. This showcase has no benchmark protocol. A separate browser observation covers one local two-player win; opponent strategy and other modes were not tested. Repository code is MIT.

What is verified here?

This entry combines original-source review with the limited browser observations below. Other features and research results have not been independently verified. AI-development claims remain author-reported; consult upstream for versions, setup and licenses.

One local two-player round reached an X win.

Open the observed demo ↗ · Link to this observation

  1. Open a fresh board in the default two-player mode.

The board was empty; X had the first turn and all score counters were zero.

  2. Click cell 1, then click the occupied cell 1 again.

The first click placed X and changed the turn to O. The second click did not replace X or change the turn.

  3. Click cells 4, 2, 5 and 3, in that order.

O and X alternated. X filled the top row; the page announced an X win and increased the X score to 1.

  4. After the win, click the empty cell 9.

Cell 9 stayed empty and the winner and score remained unchanged.

Scope and limits: Cells are numbered left to right, top to bottom. This covers one win, occupied-cell handling and terminal-state handling. Draws, computer-opponent strategy, saved scores, customization and mobile behavior were not tested; AI authorship remains the publisher’s claim.

Observed final board: X across the top row and X score 1. Demo by OpenAI’s coding-example collection.
